Every Morning the Sun Rises

Katie Mae Jumper “Sunrise” was born on December 30, 1985 in Kings Lynn Norfolk, United Kingdom to Jack and Wendy Jumper. She resided in Sumter, South Carolina.

Katie started her primary education in the United Kingdom until the 3rd grade, then they were relocated to West Columbia, South Carolina in the United States in 1994. She attended Congaree Elementary, Fulmer Middle School, and her High School years at Airport High School.

In Katie’s 38 years of life, she learned how to cook English meals from tutelage of mother, Wendy. Watching television with Christopher and Mekenzie was a joy. She loved traveling and had dreams of traveling with them. Katie had a radiant smile and a servant’s heart. She loved her job at Baker’s Sweets Bistro and Bakery. Decorating the cakes was her passion and was truly adored by her Baker Sweet family in Sumter, South Carolina.

These memories we will hold for the rest of our lives. Life is not guaranteed, it’s a privilege and it may seem that Katie was take too soon, however, Katie lived the “Dash.”

Katie had a loving heart, beautiful smile and was always funny coupled with a cheerful disposition. Katie was ready to help anyone that needed a helping hand. Katie will be missed dearly by so many, especially her family.

Her “Sunset” on February 26, 2024 at the age of 38. Katie transitioned her address and she leaves her memories for her loving children, Christopher and Mekenzie, to cherish, along with her phenomenal parents, Jack and Wendy Jumper of West Columbia; her loving grandmother, Shirley McClagish, Jackie Ramirez , Elizibeth McClagish (Aunts), Stuart McClagish (Uncle), Cousins Christopher, Allison, Louise, Laura, Sophie and Daniel of the United Kingdom; William and Lula Turner, who were very dear to her and Katie meant a lot to them as well; and a host of family and friends who will always remember Katie Mae Jumper in a special way.
