Kenneth Blake Ferguson, 84, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was born on July 1, 1941 in Greenwood, SC to the late Lewis Troy Ferguson and Rubye Treadway Ferguson.
Kenneth graduated from DeVry University with a degree in electronic engineering. He also graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in mathematics and the University of South Carolina with a degree in education.
Kenneth was a professor at Piedmont Tech and Midlands Tech, where he retired. He also worked for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. His first love was amateur radio, and he was a life member of American Amateur Radio. His call sign was K4KXO. He was also a member of Beulah Methodist Church and the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Kenneth loved spending time with friends, family, and his buddies at Starbucks on Sunset Blvd in Lexington. He also enjoyed researching genealogy, stamp collecting, and Civil War history.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca K. Ferguson of Lexington, SC; daughters, Bonnie Butler of Maryland and Roxann Burgess of Columbia, SC; stepdaughter, April Winslow (Tim) of Columbia, SC; stepson, Larry Crider (Wendy) of Orangeburg, SC; grandchildren, Ashleigh Burgess, Jasper Butler, Abbey Winslow, Caroline Winslow, Emily Crider and Wesley Crider; and his sister, Pam Alexander of Columbia, SC.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Beulah Methodist Church in Gilbert, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
