Kimberly L. Brooks, age 59, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. She was born on August 3, 1965 in Spartanburg, SC to Anna Louise Meredith and Rondal Rene Lavall.
Kim worked for DHEC until her retirement. She loved her family and cared for them above all. There was a big place in her heart for animals and rescuing those she could.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Kenny Brooks; son, David and his wife, Ginger; granddaughter, Hazel; sisters-in-law, Carla and Sara (“Coot”); niece, Anna; and nephew, Adam.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Red Bank Baptist Church, 1357 South Lake Drive, Lexington, South Carolina 29073, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.
