Linda Margaret Morrison Krusen, 81, passed away unexpectedly on March 13, 2025. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she was the embodiment of strength, love, and resilience, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Born June 14, 1943, in Orange, New Jersey to the late Allan and Mary Morrison. After graduating from Livingston High School, she attended Berkeley Secretarial School and then moved to Washington’s Crossing, PA where she started her family with her late husband Amos “Larry” Krusen. She continued as a paralegal in central New Jersey working for various firms over the years and later returned to Robbinsville, NJ. Upon retirement, she moved to Irmo, SC in 2010 where she lived the remainder of her life.
Linda was the epitome of tenacity. As a strong, hard-working single mother, she sacrificed much to ensure her children had everything they needed; pouring out love and guidance even in the most difficult of times. Her strength and perseverance shaped her sons into the men they are today, and her unconditional love was a constant presence in their lives. She was a magnet for the unfortunate outcome, if something wasn’t going to go right, it was going to happen to Linda. She had a way of facing life’s hurdles that was nothing short of inspiring—though there were times when her health issues (a laundry list of chronic mild ailments that could rival any medical textbook) would lead to an impressive string of expletives that could make a sailor blush. Still, no matter how many doctors she had to see Linda always kept her head high—and her potty mouth even higher. She had a knack for holding grudges (with some lasting decades) and special talents for delivering her frustrations with a sarcastic wit that could leave you in stitches. But Linda was there if you ever needed help, a good word, a laugh, or a hug. She loved to clean and straighten up and most of all loved to iron clothes. She had a touch of OCD and made sure to keep everything straight including her lengthy “to-do” lists, journals, and appointments she was inevitably late for.
Linda is survived by her sons, Craig Krusen of Douglassville, PA, and Jason Krusen (Julie) of Charleston, SC. She was preceded in death by her son Brian Krusen, her grandson Bennett, and her former husband and father of her children, Larry Krusen, who remained a close friend to Linda throughout her life, and most recently her beloved Shih Tzu, Addie. Linda adored her grandchildren Kelsey, Makayla, and Carter, and graced them with love and affection. Linda is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Osborn of Melbourne, FL, and nephews Allan (Linda) and Mark (Brian) both of Boothbay Harbor, ME who she was extremely close. She has a network of friends who carry on her legacy of love, laughter, and a never-ending supply of colorful language.
Linda’s love for dogs was unmatched and she would be honored that in lieu of flowers, you would consider donating to her favorite charity the ASPCA.
Rest easy, Linda. You were loved, and you were one of a kind. May your eternal rest be filled with zero health issues, no grudges to hold, and so much love to enjoy.
