Marian Davis Yarrington, 89, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025. She was born on November 18, 1935 in Marietta, Georgia to the late Linnie Gertrude Shelton Atwood and William Marion Davis.
Marian graduated from Marietta High School and went on to graduate from the University of Georgia. She was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church. Marian was determined, hard-working, and extremely intelligent. She enjoyed quilting, playing the piano, reading, and watching Georgia Bulldogs football. She will be remembered for her sharp personality and her love of the Georgia Bulldogs.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Neil Britton Yarrington; daughter, Martha Ann Nicholas; son in law, Stephen Wayne Nicholas; grandchildren, Ronald Britton Wells, Sydney Faith Nicholas, and Stephen Drake Nicholas; great-grandson, Waylon Alexander Wells; her expected great-granddaughter, Sophia Noelle Davis; and her brother, Robert Eugene Davis.
She was predeceased by her son, David William Dunagan; sister, Barbara Jean Hope; and niece, Robin Davis Goffi.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at The Nicholas Home.
