WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Mary Alice Parkman Wilson, 90, of West Columbia, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Red Bank United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mrs. Wilson was born August 16, 1923 in Greenwood, SC and passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Peter Dorn Parkman and Elize Hill Parkman. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Red Bank United Methodist Church, was a graduate of Lander University and taught in schools throughout the state. She is survived by her son, George B. “Chip” Wilson of West Columbia, and predeceased by her husband, Rev. George B. Wilson.
