On Monday February 3, 2025 Mary Lois Burrell went to her eternal home after a brief illness at Lexington Medical Center. Mary joined our father, David, and brother, Shane, who passed before her. She leaves behind her mother, Robin; sister, Felicia; four children, Jordan (Emilie), Daniel (aka Bubba), Cole, and Kali; granddaughter, Ellie; and four 4-legged babies.
Mary was our little surprise that we didn’t know we needed coming along ten years after our parents thought that they were finished having children. Mary would get excited over the little things in life and was a lover of all things tiny. She had a career as an EMT before an accident left her disabled. Her disability didn’t prevent her from taking care of the people that she loved and would do anything to make those around her happy. Mary loved her children deeply, provided for them, and supported them in all of their activities and interests all while being a single mother. She embraced her role as Mae Mae to little Ellie and couldn’t have been any prouder to be her grandmother.
In recent years, Mary has grown closer to the Lord by attending and serving at her church, The Heritage Co. She was so faithful and proud of her faithfulness in going to church every Sunday. We would like to thank the church and Pastor Austin for welcoming her and making her feel at home. Mary is already so deeply missed by so many. We appreciate all of the love and prayers that we have received over the past couple of weeks.
A memorial service for Mary will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072.
