She is survived by husband, Edwin H. Carter; daughter and son in law, Wanda C. and Dinesh Shah of Rock Hill, SC; son, David E. Carter of Lexington, SC; grandsons, Chase Carter (Avery), Ravi Shah (Cecilia), and Chetan Shah (Bethany); great- granddaughters, Valeria Shah, Charley Carter, Olivia Carter. Mrs. Carter was predeceased by her parents; brother, Buck Harmon; and sister, Faye H. Harmon.
Mrs. Carter was a life-long member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and served on St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Council as Treasurer. She retired from BB&T, formerly Lexington State Bank, in the Customer Service Department. She was a charter member of the Lake Murray Community Club, member of the Civitan Club, Women in Banking, and the Loving Group & Senior Citizens.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 1130 Saint Peters Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Visitation will be one hour before the service at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be sent to St. Peters Lutheran Church.
