Ron passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at home, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Greenville, SC, he is the son of Houston Quinn and Lila Lunsford Quinn, both of Greenville, SC. He was a 1962 graduate of Carolina High School in Greenville, where he was captain of the basketball team and an avid sports man.
After high school, Ron joined the United States Army and saw combat during the Vietnam War. He was proud of his military service and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He later attended the University of South Carolina for undergraduate and graduate school. He served as Associate Principal of Lexington High School and was later elected to the School Board of Lexington District 1.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Myra Hollingsworth Quinn, of Lexington, SC; daughter, Michelle Quinn Lupton of Lexington; and granddaughter, Claire Quinn Lupton of Lexington. He was predeceased by his grandson, William Quinn Lupton of Lexington.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Fresenius Kidney Care, West Columbia, SC and to ZaNa Jackson for the care and love they provided to Ron over the past several years.
