Phillip was a disabled veteran who served in the United States Army as a Specialist during The Vietnam War for which he received a National Defense Service Medal.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Rozanne Johnston of Leesville; son, Troy Johnston; step daughter, Jessica Elledge (Chad) of Gilbert; stepson, Justin Lee of Leesville; five grandchildren: Halle, Austin, Miller, Boggs, and Asher; his sisters, Sarah Hosey, Carolyn Stewart, Debbie McCandless, and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home- Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072, on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 at 5:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date during a private ceremony.
