Rachel Franklin Lee

She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Alonzo and Gene, and her beloved husband of 25 years, Wilburn Davis “Bill” Lee. Remaining to cherish her memory are her sister, Mildred Stevens of Lexington; her first husband, Bobby Lowman of Lexington; their children, Cindy Smith of West Palm Beach and Wayne Lowman of Lexington and granddaughter, Lauren Smith of West Palm Beach. Rachel will also be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews and Bill’s devoted children and grandchildren, the McManuses of NC, Reeds of CO and Lees of SC.

Rachel was an active member of Lexington Baptist Church. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved nothing more than cooking for her family. She was a kind, sweet and gentle soul who would do anything for her family and friends. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 in the Worship Center at Lexington Baptist Church, followed by a brief visitation. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

The family would also like to recognize Rachel’s wonderful caregivers, especially Gail, Alyson and Chris, for whom we are very grateful.
