WEST COLUMBIA - Robert J. Cooper, 68, of West Columbia, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015. Born in Winnsboro, SC, he was the son of the late Birchmore and Charlene Hall Cooper.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Cooper retired from SCANA Cooperation as an investigator after 35 years. He was a graduate of Winnsboro High School.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Watts Cooper; son, Bryan N. Cooper(Jennifer) of West Columbia; brother, Ted Cooper (Elaine) of Irmo; sister, Nancy Johnson (Michael) of Winnsboro; step-daughter, Melissa Johnson (Michael of Gilbert; step-son, Brent Johnson (Kay) of Lexington; grandchildren, Andy Cooper, Bree Cooper, Brittany Johnson, Cyndle White (Quinten), Dean Johnson (Brittney, Noah Johnson, Sierra Johnson and Taylor Johnson (Adrianna); four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by grandsons, Coby and Kalin Johnson.
A Celebration of life will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral home, Lexington Chapel, Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
