Terry Michael Bowles

Terry leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Tierney Ann Bowles; his wonderful son and buddy, Riley Michael Bowles; sister, Janet Castle; sisters-in-law, Zelda Bowles and Deborah Bedosti; brothers-in-law, John Lindsay and Frank Lindsay; as well as numerous nieces and nephews & four legged loves: Dave, CoCo and Titus. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and brother, Ronald Logan Bowles.

Terry was an avid drummer who played in bands during the 70, 80, and 90’s in Los Angeles and Kansas City. He shared his love of music with friends and family, especially his son Riley. He enjoyed all genres of music and spent much of his retirement listening to his favorites. He graduated from the University of Kansas and earned a master’s degree at the University of Arizona, both in Electrical Engineering. During his career, he worked on many top-secret projects for the defense department. His latest work was on the radar systems for autonomous vehicles.

Terry had a generous spirit and loved nothing more than being with his friends and family. He will be missed beyond measure by his family. We will never forget his laugh and love, his funny jokes, and his love for the Kansas City Chiefs. We will celebrate his life in Lawrence, KS on a date to be announced.
