Vinetta was a lifelong member of St. David Lutheran Church and retired from BB&T in 2005. She was known for baking and helping her husband, Carleston, at Dooley’s Cash Grocery.
Surviving are her children: Brent Dooley (Cathy) of Lexington; LeAnn Faulkner (Toby) of Gilbert; and Donna Dooley (widow of her late son, Davis Carleston Dooley Jr.). She is also survived by her two sisters, Mary Jean Hite and Johnnie Ann Metts; her brother, John Milton Glenn Jr.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Davis Carleston Dooley Sr.; her son, Davis Carleston Dooley Jr.; her parents; and her sisters, Faye Barkoot, Betty Jo Gable, and Sarah Dooley.
A funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025, at St. David Lutheran Church, 132 St. Davids Church Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. The family will receive friends after the service. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home of Lexington is handling arrangements.
