LEXINGTON – Funeral services for William Lindsey McGill, Jr., 74, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at Lexington Baptist Church with interment in Lexington Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to Lexington Baptist Church Building Fund, 308 E. Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072.
Mr. McGill was born August 13, 1941 in Decatur, GA and passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015. He was a son of the late William Lindsey McGill, Sr. and Evelyn Slate McGill. He was a member of Lexington Baptist Church where he was an active member in his Sunday School Class, Prospectors. Mr. McGill served his country in the US Army Reserves. He was an Associate Engineer at Alcatel Lucent.
Survivors are his daughters, Deborah Diane Rentz (Shannon), Andrea (Steven) Drutis all of Lexington; grandchildren, Devin, Lindsay, Nickolas and Noah; sister, Patsy Dunn of Fayetteville, GA and 1 nephew and 2 nieces. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
