Donna "Janie" Jane Allison

Donna Jane “Janie” Allison, 97, passed away June 5, 2023. A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 17th, with a visitation from 10:30-11:00 am preceding the service, all at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E. Franklin St., Liberty, MO 64068.

Janie was born June 25, 1925 in Iowa to Harold and Florence Watkins. She grew up in Iowa and graduated from Libertyville High School. During WWII, she worked in the aviation department of the Pentagon, dealing with air traffic control. Janie married the love of her life, John “Jack” Allison in 1945. They raised three children, Jon, Sue and Gary. They moved to Liberty in 1960, where Janie started work as a secretary at William Jewell and worked over thirty years, until her retirement in the 1990’s. Janie and her family raised horses and loved taking them to horse shows over the years. She was a member of Liberty Methodist Church for many years, then Kearney Methodist Church after she moved to the area. Janie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John “Jack” Allison.

She is survived by her children, Jon W. Allison (Linda), Sue Scobee, and Gary Allison; four grandchildren, Chad, Tara, Travis, and Trevor, as well as nine great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
