

Fred Arnold Dick, Jr., 73, Liberty, MO, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Fred was born on February 7, 1942 in Marceline, MO to Fred A. Dick, Sr. and Beulah K. (Smith) Dick, who both precede him in death. Fred was a loving husband and father. He was married for 51 years to the love of his life, Carolyn, who passed away in 2011. He is survived by his daughters Sherryl (Kent) Gerke; Sharlene (Gary) Wells; Deanna (Brent) Majors; and son Fred Aaron Dick (Sara), 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way, numerous cousins and countless friends. Fred was a well-respected member of Sheet Metal Local Union #2 and retired from A. Zahner Company in 2001 with 43 years in the trade. He was a Boy Scout leader in Troop 374 and an Honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-o-Say. Fred was a devoted member of Liberty United Methodist Church and made many lasting friendships. He had a compassionate soul, always thinking of others through volunteering and donations. He was especially proud to be an active member of the Fellowship of the Concerned, serving as past President and Secretary. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 pm, services at 4:00 pm, Liberty United Methodist Church Rush Creek Campus, 100 Rush Creek Pkwy Liberty, MO. Burial on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Laclede, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Liberty United Methodist Church, Fellowship of the Concerned, or a charity of your choice.
