Michael Robert Adams, 69, of Kansas City, MO, passed away October 12, 2021. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, November 6th at St. Charles Borromeo, 900 NE Shady Ln, Kansas City, MO. A Committal services with Military Honors will be held at 10:00am, Monday, November 8th at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Parish – Team Rebuild, K-Love, SCBA school.
Michael was born September 6, 1952 to John B. and Valeria C. (Dransik) Adams. He graduated from Westport High School Class of 1970 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri in 1979. Michael served in the United States Marines from 1972 to 1976; he was stationed at Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, South Carolina. 1978 He went in the Army Reserves and retired 2000. He married Penny (Brushwood) on March 30, 1985. They raised a family of 4, Scott, Sabrina, Willy, and Jenny. Michael worked for Allied Signal for 12 years then NAIC for 12 years and retired in 2008. He enjoyed golfing, snow skiing, bowling, karate in his younger years and going to the movies, playing Pitch with the Knights, Friendly Club, and being active at church. Michael was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Knights of Columbus 4th degree, and Team Rebuild.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Penny Adams; his sister, Wanda Mackey and his grandson, Dharmani Adams I.
He is survived by his children, Sabrina Smith (Mike), and Scott Stanley Adams (Lisa) Willy Price (Becky) and Jenny Bellar (Greg); his grandchildren, William Price, Sean Maconaughey, Ashley Mills (Mitchell), Steven Price, Brett Price, Triston Price , Alec Price, Colton Price, Jasmine aka Jay , Angelina, Aiden Adams, Ayla Parker, Christian Smith, and Serenity Smith; and 5 great grandchildren, June, Liam, Liam, Homer, and Cooper; best friend Paul Puckett and nephew Dwanye Jennings were like a brother to him over the years and all his fellow Knights and brothers and sisters in Christ.
