Rodney was born June 8, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to Raymond and Dolores Majesty. Rodney graduated from St. Michaels High School. Following high school, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for 2 years. Rodney's career began at Grainger in 1971 in the loading docks, until he worked his way up to Warehouse Supervisor and transferred to Kansas City, MO. Rodney worked as a Warehouse Supervisor until he eventually retired in 2008.
Rodney was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend and the love of his life, Regina, on September 13, 1975. Rodney was a family man and an amazing provider. He loved to bowl, fish and camp, which he did regularly with his family. His love for fishing started a yearly tradition for the family at Roaring River State Park. This tradition continued with his grandkids where he taught them to trout fish and spent many hours playing with them in the pool. If you were ever looking for Rodney, you could often find him "puttering in the garage" where he loved to make birdhouses and spend time with his friends.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Regina; his daughters Natalie (Majesty) Mayer and Cindy (Majesty) Sahl; his son in laws J.R. Mayer and James Sahl; his 8 grandchildren Emilee Mayer, Madison Sahl, Jaxon Mayer, Jayson Mayer, Savannah Sahl, Harper Sahl, Allyson Mayer and Alexander Mayer; and his brother Roger Majesty. He is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Majesty; and both of his parents.
A celebration of life will be held March 4, 2023 from 2pm-4pm at his home, 409 Laurel Ct. Liberty, MO 64068, where all are welcome to attend.
It was rare to see Rodney without his suspenders, so the family asks that if you have them, wear them.
