Carolyn S. Barber

Carolyn was a guiding mother who loved her family. She enjoyed watching the birds, was a master gardener and a wonderful cook. She worked for many years at Goodyear in Asheboro and retired from Replacements Ltd. After retirement she enjoyed spending a lot of time at Atlantic Beach where she made many wonderful friends at Coastal Mobile Estates.

The family will host a reception of friends on Saturday, July 16 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home, 212 West Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC.

She is the daughter of the late Eddie Odell Stalker and Ida Ingold Stalker and was also preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Barber and son-in-law, Matt Boyd.

Surviving are her daughters, Crystal Barber Parker and her husband, Jimmy, Jr. of Liberty and Susan Barber Staley of Atlantic Beach; son, Barry R. Barber and his wife, Cecilia of Asheboro; grandchildren, Sarah Barber and Hayden Parker; step-grandchildren, Jimmy Parker, III and Sydnie Parker; sisters, Linda Allred and Joyce Kirkman; brother, Richard Stalker and his wife, Wilma; Carolyn’s faithful companion, Lovey; and her grand-dogs, Mac and Mya.
