Cecil Ray Jones

Cecil was a loving Daddy and Paw Paw, a Christian man who loved his church, gardening, the lake and camping. He also enjoyed times when he would visit friends and family. His friend Richard Thompson made his time at Brookdale most enjoyable.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 3:00 pm, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Liberty, officiated by Rev. Chuck Ireson. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Liberty.

Cecil was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Mildred Jones; his parents Robert and Almedia Jones; sister, Fay Brown; brothers, Charlie Jones, Roy Jones, Buren Jones and W. A. Jones.

Cecil is survived by his daughter Myra Ayers (Tommy); Son Ray Jones (Sandy); Grand Daughters Lori Jernigan (Alex) and Stephanie Nelson (Jacob); Great Grand Daughters Bayle Jernigan, Kristina Nelson and Lyndsey Nelson; and Great Grand Son Gavin Cheek.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the employees of Brookdale of Burlington. The family also is extremely appreciative of the loving care and attention that Cecil received by his caregiver Anette Bittle over the last 4 years
