A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, 800 Westridge Road, Greensboro, NC 27410. Burial will be following the service at Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park, 6500 Liberty Road, Julian, NC 27283.
Doris was the daughter of the late Whaley Jacobs and Lydia Mable Chavis Jacobs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Epaminondas “Nonda” Zaharias and three brother.
Doris leaves behind her daughter, Lydia Zaharias Long (James Michael Long); sister, Teresa Gail Jacobs (Earl); brothers, Jerry Neil Jacobs (Margaret), Carlton Ray Jacobs (Cheryl), August Martin Jacobs, Michael Jay Jacobs, Lynn Bruce Jacobs (Sheryl); grandchildren, Zoe Cheyene Zaharias, Michael Long and David Long.
