Byard was a member of Smithwood Christian Church and a founding member of Kimesville Fire and Rescue. He was a lifelong farmer and operated a mobile milling service with his brother, Troy.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Smithwood Christian Church, 6808 Kimesville Road, Liberty. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Smithwood Christian Church. He will be laid to rest in Smithwood Christian Church Cemetery. The family will host a reception following the service in the church fellowship hall.
He was the son of the late Millard Troy and Mary Belle Greene Humble and was also preceded in death by his son, Phillip Craig Humble; daughter-in-law, Charlene Humble; sisters, Dorothy Jessup, Iris Mae Fogleman and Martha Humble; and brothers, Troy Humble and Millard "June" Humble.
Byard is survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara O'Briant Humble; daughter, Lisa Marshall and her husband, Jeff; son, Dale Humble and his wife, Libby; and one granddaughter, Eliza Marshall.
