The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Cane Creek Friends Meeting, 719 West Greensboro Chapel Hill Road, Snow Camp. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m.
Kitty was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Clara Mae Highsmith Early.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 22 years, Harold Wright; sons; John Patrick Williams (Denice Sharpe) and Len Woodrow Williams (Xenia); grandchildren, Kelly Williams, Katherine Williams, and Nicholai Williams; great-grandchildren, Ayden Williams and Leila Hardison; and brother, John Early (Vicki).
Kitty was deeply known for a life of service rooted in faith, compassion, and quiet strength. For more than fifty years, Kitty dedicated herself to ministries such as women’s prison ministry, showing up faithfully for those who were often forgotten or overlooked. Through her work with the church and the broader community, she offered hope, dignity, and grace to countless women, believing firmly in redemption and the power of love to change lives. Year after year, Kitty also answered the call to serve beyond her own community, participating in mission trips to places such as Ecuador, where she continued her lifelong commitment to sharing faith, care, and encouragement with others.
Kitty embraced life with curiosity and a deep appreciation for beauty and history. She and her beloved husband, Harold, shared a love of travel, returning to Hawaii year after year and finding joy in destinations such as Branson, Amish country, and Myrtle Beach. Wherever they went, Kitty delighted in learning the stories of the land and its people, always taking time to truly see and appreciate each place they visited.
At home, Kitty poured that same care into the farm she and Harold built together. The farm was more than a home. It was a living story. Family heirlooms filled each room, and first time visitors were always welcomed with a thoughtful tour, complete with family history and details about where furniture was made and how the property came to be. Kitty took great pride in preserving what mattered and sharing it generously with others.
Above all else, Kitty loved her family, cherished her friends, and lived her life grounded in her love for the Lord. Her legacy is one of faith, service, hospitality, and enduring love, and it will continue to live on through all those whose lives she touched.
