She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Gertrude Kiser Shuping and was also preceded in death by husbands, Willis "Bill" Edwards and William "Bill" Sparklin; daughter, Wanda Ellison Mullane; son, James Ellison; sisters, Pauline Nichols and Helen Rae Lyerly; brothers, Jay Shuping and Billy Joe Shuping.
Lydia is survived by her daughter, Helen Ellison Collins; son, Robert Marion Ellison, Jr.; sister, Lola Ann Furr; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
