Mr. Pete John Sharpe

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 10, 2011, at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty, with Rev. Lloyd Spencer and Rev. Banks Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope United Church of Christ Cemetery.

Born in Guilford County, to the late Banks and Addie Sharpe, Mr. Sharpe was a member of Mount Hope United Church of Christ. He retired from the maintenance division of the Guilford County Schools. He was a kind and loving husband and a loyal friend who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Laura Parks and Pearl Shepherd and brother, Cody Sharpe.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 66 years, Irene Ingold Sharpe; and several loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 am, Monday morning, prior to the service at the funeral home.
