Ralph was a quick-witted, big kid with a strong work ethic. He was the cool dad who all of the kids in the neighborhood liked to be around. He retired from Virginia Power as a lineman after 32 years of service and went on to become a full time truck driver for Animal Supply Company. "Full Speed Ahead"
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Wesleyan Church, 1093 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Liberty, NC with Pastor Jeff Garner officiating.
He was the son of the late Paul Haywood and Sallie Lawhorne Fitzgerald and was also preceded in death by his wife, Rebekah Davis Fitzgerald and former wife, Barbara Jones Fitzgerald; sisters, Mamie Breeden and Shirley Collins; and brothers, Paul Steven Fitzgerald and Richard Fitzgerald.
Ralph is survived by his daughters, Donna Waterworth (Greg), Teresa Felt (Terry) and Samantha Presnell (Josh); grandchildren, Dylan Felt, Heather Felt, Nate Waterworth, Ryan Long and Emily Presnell; sisters, Marian Eadie, Virginia Terry and Barbara Merchant; and many other family members whom he loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet Wesleyan Church, 1093 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Liberty, NC 27298.
