

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Loflin Funeral Home, 212 West Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, 4765 Sandy Creek Church Rd, Liberty. Bobbie will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
Bobbie was born on February 11, 1936 to the late Gideon Soucy and Clementina “Toni” Coviello Soucy in Massachusetts. She moved to High Point at the age of 15 and graduated from High Point High School in 1953. She then went on to graduate from Women’s College of Greensboro in 1954.
She was married on October 13, 1956 to her one and only love, James “Jay” G. Ritch, Jr. She and Jay spent 69 years together, sharing their love for one another.
Bobbie was known for her delicious poundcakes, she baked these for the Reitzel Center’s monthly birthday parties for over 30 years. She was a member and officer for the Southeast Christian Women’s Club at Forest Oaks for many years, sharing the love of Jesus with women over lunch and special music.
She was involved in the church, holding many positions: Leading GA’s, Acteens, teaching children and WMU. Bobbie organized and taught in the children’s department at Bender Worship Center at Badin Lake for over 50 years. Badin Lake was a very special place for Bobbie and Jay. They built their second home there, spending summers on the water with family and friends.
Bobbie was gifted with a nurturing spirit. She spent countless hours preparing delicious meals, baking desserts for everyone’s sweet tooth, and making special dishes for those who were sick, homebound, or had lost a loved one. She always put others before herself.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband James “Jay” G. Ritch, Jr.; sons, David Ritch (Debbie), Scott Ritch (Laura), and Brian Ritch (Sandra); daughter, Sheri Balli; grandchildren, Stephanie Hutchins, Daniel Ritch (Olivia), Jonathan Ritch (Lily), Sydney Ritch, Noah Ritch, Avery Balli, and Riley Balli; great-grandchildren, Everly Ritch, Declan Ritch, Annalise Ritch, Samuel Ritch, Jacob Ritch, and Jordyn Ritch.
