Ronald was the son of the late Hilton and Marion McMath.
He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Sheila Suttles McMath.
Ronald had a passion for art and majored in commercial art at Greensboro Technical Community College. He became a talented tattoo artist for 15 years and worked at Bluebell for 10 years and Southeastern Foundries for 7 years.
