Roy Alton May

Roy was married for 45 years to his beloved wife, Rose Antley May. He is survived by his devoted family: his son, Alton May, and wife, Cherise; his daughters, Sherry Gwyn and Marissa Wilson, and husband Darrel; stepdaughter Paula Davis; sister Marcel Jeffries; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joe Franklin May and Mary Esther Daniels, stepson-in-law Kelly Davis, step-granddaughter Jessica Davis, great-grandson Cinch Gwyn, great-great-grandson James Boyd, brother Melvin May, and sisters, Rebecca “Sis” Butner and Mary Butner.

Roy’s family and friends will remember him for his warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
