She was a graduate of Liberty High School Class of 1964. She began her career in the furniture business where she worked all of her life until Hooker Furniture's plant closed and then she went on to sit with the elderly as a caregiver. She attended Friendly Wesleyan Church in Liberty all of her life. Susie was an outstanding friend and loving wife and mother.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel; burial will follow at Staley Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Rufus and Rosie Overman and was also preceded in death by her husband, R.D. Ferguson; sisters, Lucille Hayes and Kathleen McPherson; and brothers, Johnny Overman and Jake Overman.
Susie is survived by her son, Eddie Ferguson; daughters, Lisa York and husband, Ronny, Angelia Rodgers and husband, Darrell, and Jessica Ferguson and husband, Mario Lara; sister, Betty Joyce; grandchildren, Carson Ferguson, Zachary Ferguson and wife, Lindsay and Nora Dragon and husband, Jeremy; and four great-grandchildren.
