Billy Washington

William Ramon Washington III, born in Houston, TX, better known as “Billy” to most, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the early morning hours of Tuesday July 7th, 2020. Just shy of his 40th birthday, Billy leaves behind his wife Erica and 6-month old daughter, Willow.

For those who knew Billy, his rough & tough exterior was just a front protecting the gentle giant with a sensitive caring heart. Billy was a “survivor”, a fighter, he lived spontaneously and had a passion for working out & weight lifting. Also described as a “loving lunatic”, Billy was thoughtful and empathetic, often times giving the last few dollars in his own pocket to his brother on the street corner. He was faithfully devoted & committed to his family, speaking of his beautiful wife and daughter to every person he encountered. Billy loved the adventure of life and made it a point each day to encourage others and maintain a spirit of positivity. While fighting with his own demons, Billy was always trying to help others overcome theirs. He often shared about the power & truth of Jesus and the Lord’s ability to help, heal, and save.

Billy is survived by his wife, Erica Rodriguez-Washington, his 6-month old daughter, Willow Rose Washington, and 6-year old daughter Hayden Washington (from a previous relationship); his parents, William R. Washington, Jr. and Frances Blair; his sister, Jessica Anne Washington and nephew, Eli Thomas Washington; his brother, Wesley Seth Washington and niece, Charlotte Monroe Washington; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Hilda Varjas; and his uncles, Frank S. Varjas and Phillip Varjas, who all reside in Houston, TX.
