

Dave was born on February 27th, 1962, to Deloris Lavonne Jensen and Shirley Howard Jensen in Yankton, South Dakota before moving to Silver Spring, Maryland and finally settling in the city of Pompano Beach, Florida. Dave attended Paint Branch High School where he played football and was a star middle linebacker. He is survived by his son, Corey and brothers Tom (Marianne), Dennis (Leslie), Chuck (Andrea), Donnie, and Steve (Laura), and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and predeceased sister, Diane. Dave married Paige and they had their son, Corey David Jensen in the Spring of 1995. Dave was and forever will be an iconic member of the Jensen family and a friend to all who came into his life.
Dave was a hardworking and determined man who created a career for himself in project management and estimation. One of his major accomplishments was laying out the plumbing and AC for the new Washington Nationals stadium. Later working on multi-million-dollar commercial facilities for private contractors. Dave was passionate about music, cars, and baseball; he also found joy in working on his Mustang GT. He loved the Baltimore Orioles but more importantly loved cheering on his son, who he was most proud of. Dave’s deep love of music impacted Corey’s life in so many ways and will continue to shape all his future endeavors. Dave loved being a father more than anything else in the world. Though he passed on his immense love of music he also instilled his pleasure of sports and the importance of sportsmanship to his son. Dave and Corey shared so many of the same interests which he will always cherish. Dave was also fond of his German Shepherd, Marcus who now lives in Maryland with his son.
Anyone who knew Dave knew him as a positive, encouraging, and extremely comedic man. He always told endless stories that would leave you feeling like you were in the moment. Dave’s loved ones will miss hearing those wild and crazy tales of his past and forever reminisce keeping his spirit alive.
There will be a celebration of life to honor Dave, details will be provided at a later date.
