Peter F. Johantgen

Peter Fred Johantgen, 81, passed away on August 17, 2024, in Sunrise, Florida. Born on September 2, 1942, in Lindsborg, Kansas, Peter devoted his life to his family and his career as a school bus salesman. He was renowned for his kind, loving, and generous nature, always putting his family and friends first.

Peter is survived by his wife, Raquel; children, Laurie, Amy, Peter II, and James; stepchildren, Mariela, Gabriela, Xavier, Miguel, David, and Andrea; and grandchildren, Madelyn, Stirling, Kellan, Rowan, Christopher, Peter III, Monika, Jake, Eva, Talon, Luchito, Lizet, Indira, Grace, Mickey, Jennifer, Samantha, Gian, Adana, Leandro, Santiago, Fabiana, Benjamin, Xzavian, Roman, Juliana, Jeremy, Joshua, Jacob, Jade and Rebekah; great grandchildren, Luis Felipe, Valeria, Oziel and Eliana. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer.

A graduate of the University of Colorado, Peter carried the spirit of his education throughout his life, applying his knowledge and charisma in his professional field. His passion for Formula One and Ferrari also marked many joyful moments of his leisure time, sharing this enthusiasm with friends and family alike.

Peter was a dedicated member of Calvary Chapel in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he found a strong community of faith and fellowship.

The family will receive friends at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 4650 N Federal Hwy, Lighthouse Point, FL 33064, on August 22, 2024. Visitation will begin at 12:30 am followed by the service at 2:30 pm. Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family during this difficult time.
