

Stanley R Greenia 78, passed away on April 26th, 2026 under the generous, compassionate and loving care of Turnbridge Hospice by the Sea of Boca Raton, FL. He completed his mission. Born and raised in Springfield Ma., Son of (Predeceased) Bertell and Nellie (Ramsey) Greenia.
He is predeceased by his brothers Bertell Jr, Wesley Greenia, Robert Greenia; his sisters Florence Greenia, Louella Peloqin, Barbara Voudren, and Marilyn Fox.
He leaves to remember him; Roger and Jackie Greenia of South Hadley Ma, Walter and Bonnie Greenia of South Hadley Ma, Charlie and Linda Greenia of Chester Ma., Carol Pitts of Brimfield Ma., Dianna Ralston of Phoenix Az.; His caring In Laws, Greg and Betsy Gillette of Chicopee Ma., Gigi (Virginia) Heatwole of Chicopee Ma., is dear Mother in Law Bianca Heatwole of Chicopee Ma., Donald and Susan Heatwole of Chicopee Ma., Robert and Marilyn Heatwole of Chicopee Ma, Mark and Pattie Heatwole of Cumberland RI., and many dear nephews and nieces.
He is predeceased by his Father in Law Bob Heatwole, whom he admired and adored on any given day.
Being proud of being the youngest of 15 siblings put a warm smile on his face anytime he had the chance to tell someone. It was his private and personal joy.
He was married to the love of his life Linda (Heatwole) for 50 yrs.
They built a home filled with warmth, laughter and an unwavering partnership. They often referred to their life together as “Stan and Linda’s Big Adventure”.
Stan was retired US Army, having served in Viet Nam, was a very proud soldier of the 101st Airborne, CoB2ndBn and a Tet Offensive survivor. He was very proud of his service to his country and wore his battle scars with a quiet pride and dignity, vowing never to leave the United States shores for the remainder of his lifetime. He is a Purple Heart Recipient.
He is remembered as loving dogs, and most all living animal creatures who would seek him out wherever he went. Even on the black sand beaches of Hawaii, one lone stray dog found his way to sit by Stan’s side.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity and quiet strength, one that will continue to guide those who knew him.
Services for Stan will be held at the convenience of the family and are private.
