Arthur Dean Caulfield, 80, of Lima passed away 9: 49 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Toledo Hospital surrounded by loved ones during his last hours and throughout his life. He was born in Washington, D.C. to Arthur Caulfield and Daphne (Montgomery) Caulfield Corey and they preceded him in death. A marriage to Pauline (Vance) Caulfield brought two children, Patricia Y. Webb and Dean Caulfield. On January 24, 1982, he married Diana Marie Johnston the love of his life, his current wife and soul mate. They were blessed with 36 years of love and companionship. Art welcomed Diana’s two children, Alisa S. Jessee and Benjamin M. Jessee into his heart and home.
He was employed as the President of Fed Pro, Inc. He and his wife, Diana moved from Maryland back to Diana’s hometown of Lima in 2006. Art has made a positive impact on the people he touched. As a successful businessman, he held to his principles. In his personal life, he lived his convictions and cherished his family. He was a gentle man who valued the simple joys of his life.
He is survived by his and Diana’s children, Patricia (Stephen) Webb of Beaverdam, Virginia, Arthur Dean Caulfield, Jr of Charlottesville, Virginia, Alisa Suzanne Jessee of New Market, Maryland, Benjamin Michael (Kathryn) Jessee of Chesapeake, Virginia; their grandchildren, Jeremy Webb, Catherine Webb, Aidan Jessee and Keegin Jessee. He is also survived by a sister, Frances Lundberg of Deer Lodge, Tennessee, and his brothers, Bill (Linda) Allen of Muscatine, Iowa, Evan (Lauren) Caulfield from North Carolina and Glen Caulfield of San Francisco, California.
The family will receive friends who wish to celebrate the life of this kind and generous man on Sunday, June 3 from 4:oo - 6:00 p.m. at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME. A private memorial service will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family.
