

Blaine Anthony Rex, 61, of Lima, died on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017. He was a jovial, gregarious man with an infectious smile and a warm heart. He was a friend to all and spread laughter wherever he went.
Blaine was born Oct. 10, 1956, in Lima to Wilbur C. and Charis Lee (Hobbs) Rex. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Bruce Rex.
He is survived by his beloved mother Charis, his life-partner, Judy L. DeWitt Rex whom he married on Oct. 22, 1988, two beautiful daughters, Melissa Anne Rex and Emily Charis Rex; his brothers, Randy (Kim) Rex and Chris P. (Lora) Rex; his sister-in-law, Beverly Rex Cook; many wonderful nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
Blaine was self-employed, with R&B Enterprises and Rex’s Sign Service. He was a common sight at regional fairgrounds where he ran a funnel cake wagon. He was creative, handy, and always willing to help. He was a 1976 graduate of Bath High School.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 1-7 p.m., at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Service begins at 7.
