

Ronald Lee “Butch” Taviano, 64, of Chillicothe, formerly of Lima, went home to be with the Lord, at 12:25 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Chillicothe. He was born Aug. 11, 1947, to David and Frances Marie (Taviano) Pratt who preceded him in death. He was raised by his grandparents, Joseph and Azura Taviano, who preceded him in death. At the age of 12, he moved in with and was raised by his aunt and uncle, Louise and Ernest Pratt.
Mr. Taviano worked for the B & O Railroad before he was drafted into the Viet Nam Conflict. He served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 16, 1966 until Aug. 12 1968. He was a member of the Disabled American Viet Nam Veterans. He was a kind and soft spoken individual who loved his family.
Surviving are a sister, Patsy (Kenneth) Kindle of Harrod, brothers, Ernest (Peggy) Pratt of Farmingdale, Long Island, NY and David (Donna) Taviano of Lima.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Hasson Cemetery, Ada, where military rites were conducted by V.F.W. Post 9381, Ada.
