Roseanna "Roxie" Johnson, age 83, of Lima, passed away Saturday, December 22nd at St. Ritas Hospital. She was born on September 1, 1935 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to the late Willie Walter Fisher and Annie West Lane Fisher.
On February 17, 1952, she was married to Agee Johnson. She was preceded in death by her former husband; her parents(Willie and Annie); 4 brothers (Willie Walter Fisher, Jr., Moses Fisher, Ollie Fisher, and Joe L. Fisher); 5 sisters (Ozella Frieson, Ella Ree Petty, Geneva Lowe, Lula Lowe, and Annie Bell Key). She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a former member of Thunder Riders Motorcycle Club where she traveled the country and won numerous awards and trophies for trick riding. Some of her favorite hobbies were gardening, caring for animals, going to bingo, and playing the lottery. She was known for her quick wit, stylish clothes, active lifestyle, and her compassion towards others.
She leaves behind a daughter, Mary Louise Murray, a granddaughter, Tiffany Murray (New York), and a younger brother, Charlie Fisher. She also leaves behind a large host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. She will be greatly missed.
The viewing will be held Thursday, Dec 27th, from 6-8 pm at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, 506 N Cable Rd, Lima, OH 45805. The Homegoing Service will be on Friday, Dec 28th at 1 pm at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 328 E 4th St, Lima, OH 45804, Rev. Austin Lewis, officiant, Rev. David Kelly, Pastor. Internment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
