
.Willie J. Jackson, 71 of Lima died 10:26 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in the ER of Lima Memorial Health Systems. He was born on May 20, 1939 in Florence, Alabama to Willie F. & Estella (Jones) Jackson and they preceded him in death. On April 4, 1961 he married Jacqueline G. Bivens and she survives in Lima.
Mr. Jackson is also survived by his six children: Willie Edward (Julia) Jackson, II; Jennifer Fay (Paul) Jackson, Evelyn G. (James) Dukes, Stevenson James (Toni) Jackson, Jr, Regina Renee (Verdell) Jackson, and Gary L. (Pam) Jackson all of Lima. He is also survived by twenty seven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two stepdaughters: Rena Chukes and Dorthia Owens both of Lima, special sons: Anthony Marlow, Leroy Simpson, Jr, Jesse Common all of Lima. He also leaves his siblings: Oliver (Deloris) Jackson, Sr., Donnie (Brenda) Jackson, Mattie Sistrunk all of Florence, AL; Paul (Betty) Jackson, Leaman (Gloria) Jackson and Leola (Larry) Montgomery all of Detroit, Edith Wilkerson of Middletown, OH, Margaret Johnson of Dayton and Nellie Hardy of Sheffield, AL. He also leaves special friends: Charles Burge of Sandusky, OH and Tammy White of Lima.
Mr. Jackson retired in July of 2003 from the Ford Motor Company serving as a Machine Operator. He was also a Master Mason with Prince Hall in Lima, Ohio. He loved music, dancing and his family. He admired his grandchildren. He was a chef at Dusty Joes in Florence, Alabama.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the New Hope Baptist Church 328 E. 4th Street Lima, Ohio with Rev. Jason Kelly and Pastor Doris Elaine Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
