

David Bruce Deigan, 80, loving husband, father, stepfather, brother, and grandfather passed away peacefully in the comforting presence of two of his children on Sunday, February 20, 2022, in Roseville, CA. He is survived by his wife, Carole Eubanks, his three children, Jennifer Deigan, Stephanie Deigan and Christopher Deigan, his sister-in-law, Sherena Deigan and niece, Darielle Deigan (Nick Peters). He also leaves behind two stepdaughters, Daphne Tyler (John Tyler) and Virginia Eubanks, along with four grandchildren, Sydney and Samantha Deigan, Elizabeth Brunolli (Stevie Brunolli) and Alex Tyler. He was predeceased by his brother, Glenn Allen Deigan.
David was born in 1941 in Passaic, New Jersey to the late David Fred Deigan and Alice Doremus Deigan. He received his bachelor's degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University in Rutherford, NJ and was recruited by the US Air Force in 1963. He served during the Viet Nam War and subsequently commanded Titan II missile silos at Vandenberg AFB. A decorated Captain, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, and was honorably released from active duty in 1972 to pursue a civilian career.
An avid cross-country runner both in high school and college, David eventually started a business that coupled his love of running with his entrepreneurial drive. His innovative spirit led to the creation of AFMInc, most notable for Heatsheets® which keep runners warm at the end of marathons. He and his daughter Stephanie worked together building the business for more than twenty years.
A dedicated volunteer coach for the San Francisco Galloway Running Group for several years, David touched and inspired many with his calm guidance and genuine interest in helping people succeed. David could often be found with guitar in hand, bringing his love of music to life. He was passionate about cycling, travel, fine wine and spending quality time with his family and friends.
David will be fondly remembered for his warm and generous spirit, his gift for storytelling, his infectious laugh, and his true affection for others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
