Lifelong Lincoln resident John A. Zugnoni passed away on January 26, 2021 at the age of 83.
John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie Zugnoni, his daughter Lori Anderson (Clive), his daughter-in-law Heather, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and his dog Jake. John was predeceased by his son Steven and his daughter Johna.
John attended the local schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954. John went on to serve in the US Army and was a very proud veteran.
John was active in the local Boy Scout club where his troop took first place at one of the Scout-a-Rama’s for their suspension bridge building skills. They were also instrumental in blazing a new 50-mile trail. John also served as a member of the Lincoln Police Auxiliary team.
John work at the local Gladding McBean company, as well as Formica Corporation from which he retired in the mid 90’s.
John enjoyed fishing, gardening, eating out and puttering in his garage. He loved making yard art for his family and friends. John was also very inventive; he always had an idea up his sleeve and a solution for every problem.
John always carried dog biscuits in his pocket just on the chance he would meet a dog along his way. He was an avid football fan and a diehard SF 49er’s fan. He could be found in his recliner on any given Sunday during football season enjoying the games.
John’s infectious smile and his helping ways will be missed by his family and friends.
