Mary is preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Clark Jr. of 57 years, as well as her beloved granddaughter Madelyn M. James.
Mary grew up playing games, which carried into her adult life. It would be surprising if anyone she knew had never sat down to a game with her. She really loved talking to her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed propagating all kinds of houseplants.
Mary and Ed, who married in North Hollywood, CA, shared a beloved passion of square dancing. Any chance to form a square was welcomed. When aboard a cruise ship or the get togethers via 5th wheel trailers, Mary loved it all. When they couldn’t dance another tip, gatherings around the fire while Ed played guitar brought her great joy.
She had a lifelong love of travel. Whether driving across the United States, as a young woman, road trips back to Illinois with her beloved family, and later in retirement travel with friends. She fondly recalled trips to far off countries with her beloved Spike. Fiji was one of her favorite destinations and she often told stories of her many Fijian adventures.
Mary is survived by her children; Cathy (Tim) of Greybull, WY, Theresa D James (Thomas) of Lincoln, CA, and James Edward Clark of Chico, CA. She was adored by her grandchildren; Timothy Brown III, Victoria Clark (Geoff), Anthony Brown (Jennifer) and siblings; Frank Fielding (Joan) of Ventura, CA, Tom Fielding (Jams) of Woodland Hills, CA
A Rosary for Mary will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located on 280 Oak Tree Lane, Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
Mary will be interred, at a later date, at Lakeside Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Folsom, CA with her beloved Spike.
