Passed away suddenly in Sacramento on 10/26/2016 following open heart surgery.
He was proceeded in death by his brother, Robert Hanson, and his son, Dennis J. Hanson, Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan, Son and Daughter, Kristine Anderson, of Newcastle, and brother Richard Hanson of Roseville. He also leaves many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ray graduated from Fremont High School in Oakland, CA. and worked in the Oakland Fire Dept. for 31 years before retiring and moving to Sun City in Lincoln, CA.
He loved coaching eh San Lorenzo Little League and Bobby Sox for his kids.
In retirement, Ray enjoyed traveling, playing golf and fantasy football.
He was loved and respected by so many and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude or Cystic Fibrosis research.
