

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Lee Doney, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, who peacefully departed this world on August 30, 2023. Born on September 26, 1944, he leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories.
Robert, known to many as Bob, lived a life filled with purpose, kindness, and dedication. He was a pillar of strength for his family and a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His unwavering love and guidance will forever echo in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
At the center of his world was his beloved wife, Sherril (Sherry) Doney. Their enduring love and partnership served as a beacon of hope and an example of what it means to truly support and care for one another. Their journey together was marked by shared dreams, shared laughter, and an unbreakable bond.
Bob's devotion extended to his two sons, Michael and Brent (Austin) Doney. He instilled in them the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. He was not only a father but also a friend, always there to provide guidance and unwavering support. The lessons he imparted will continue to shape their lives and the lives of those around them.
In addition to his immediate family, Bob is survived by his brother, Steve Doney, whose bond with him was a testament to the enduring ties of family.
The legacy of Robert Lee Doney lives on through his two grandchildren, Christian Doney and Megyn Windfeldt Doney. He found immense joy in watching them grow and thrive, and his influence will forever be felt in their lives. His wisdom, love, and guidance will continue to shape their journeys in profound ways.

A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on 9/29/2023 at Lincoln Funeral Home.
