Adeline “Cookie” Barrett passed away on October 31, 2018. Born July 9, 1943, to Charles and Katherine (Horner) Dinnis in Beatrice, Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She retired from Lincoln Public Schools after 40 years as a kindergarten teacher. Cookie enjoyed travel and golf with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Craig Barrett; her parents and her parents-in-law. Survivors include daughter, Rory (Steven) Thomas of Leawood, KS; daughter, Darcy Soltys of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Avery, Lily, Charley, and Coco; sister, Deb (John) Fox; brother, Chuck (Lori) Dinnis; brother, Sam (Sharon) Dinnis; nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 5th, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street, Lincoln.
