He was born April 8, 1934 in San Benito, TX. He was a loving father,
grandfather and friend. Joe was a highly decorated veteran who, during his
33 years in the Army, served in Korea and Vietnam. He achieved the rank of
Command Sergeant Major and was proud to have served his country.
After his retirement, Joe spent many happy hours playing golf, fishing and
traveling, and he was an avid cornhusker fan. He was a man with a great
sense of humor and a smile that warmed the hearts of his loved ones and his
many good friends. He will be dearly missed.
Joe is survived by his son, Mario Beltran of Lincoln; daughters, Madeline “Jackie”
Beltran of Santa Rosa, CA and Marina (Bruce) Barrett of Denton;
significant other, Karyl Kellas, and friend, Peggy Costin as well as
grandchildren, Gabriel, Samantha, Casey, and Cierra Beltran and
great grandchildren, Ophelia, Henry and Caleb Beltran.
He was preceded in death by wife, Rosa. VISITATION Monday, November 28, 2016
