Charles Allen Hoover

March 22, 1932 – February 11, 2021

Charles was born March 22, 1932 in Adams, NE the son of Clarence and Clara (Overton) Hoover.

He was united in marriage to Pauline F. Neu on February 17, 1951, in Roca, NE.

He served in the US Air Force from 4/1/1951 until 12/14/1952 then joined the Air National Guard in Lincoln, NE, as an aircraft mechanic, and retired after 28 years of service. After retirement he worked as a groundskeeper at Lincoln Memorial Park for several years. He enjoyed taking his grandkids on lawnmower rides, gardening, playing cards, and watching sports. He was a beloved member of the Roca United Methodist Church.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Buck and Bill; sisters, Elva, Ethel, Margaret, Norma, Barbara; and infant Cynthia.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Pauline, of Hickman. Daughters: Charlene Galusha and husband Bill of, Hickman, Lynette TeSelle and husband Darrell, of Firth. Son, Lennie Hoover and Lorie Lindenmuth, of Roca. 5 grandchildren, Lindsay Peterson and husband Brander, of Omaha, Jake Galusha and wife Michala, of Lincoln, Amanda Hoover Casey, of Lincoln, Nate and Nick Hoover, of Roca. 5 great-grandchildren, Caroline, Brooke and Max Peterson, Emersyn and Everly Galusha, and sister. Meredith Roberts, of Lincoln.

Public Visitation will be held Thursday, February 18, 5-7pm, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE. Private Family Funeral Service Friday, February 19, 10am, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, with interment with Military Honors to follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. 6700 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE.
