

Charles M. Oakeson, known affectionately as Chuck, passed away on November 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 24, 1945, in St. Paul, Nebraska, Charles lived a full and vibrant life until the age of 80. He was a resident of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Charles was a humorous and thoughtful man, known for his hard-working nature and inspirational spirit. His loyalty was unmatched, and he touched many lives with his kindness and dedication. After completing high school, he pursued higher education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he earned a business degree. He went on to develop his career in the family-owned oil business, Nebraska Petroleum Corporation.
A huge Husker fan, Charles loved all sports and cherished his family, especially his grandkids. He was a strong advocate for Alcoholics Anonymous and sponsored many people throughout his life. Known for his love of comedy, he enjoyed watching Johnny Carson and was a proud Shriner. Charles had a sweet tooth for chocolate and a hearty appetite for meat and potatoes. He enjoyed playing golf and was a devoted pet lover.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Tricia (Roger) Laltoo, and Traci Dubry; grandchildren, Whitney Roeder and Zachary Roeder; great-grandchildren, Penelope Hutapea and Paisley Roeder; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Miriam Oakeson, and his daughter, Sheila Kline.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
