

Chloe Ann Eaton, 84, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away to be with her Heavenly Father on April 16, 2026. She was born April 19, 1941, in Logan, Utah, being the first child of Rex and Chloe (Christensen) Funk. Over the next ten years, came siblings Beverly, Bruce and Janeene.
On December 1st, 1973, Chloe Ann married James “Jim” L. Eaton in Lancaster, California. Chloe Ann's father united them in marriage. They were sealed on February 16, 1993, in the Arizona Temple. Together, they were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and dedicated a great deal of time to their church, including serving at the Chicago Temple.
Jim worked as a circulation manager at various newspapers in which required their family to relocate from California to Lincoln, Nebraska in1974. Once they settled in Lincoln in 1974, Chloe Ann was a stay home mom taking care of her twin children Wayne and Jeffrey Meyers, as well as, and working a number of years as a branch manager at various Lincoln financial institutions.
Chloe Ann enjoyed watching professional tennis tournaments and played tennis with her children. Above all, she treasured time at their lake house on Capital Beach in Lincoln, where she loved to host extra-special gatherings for family and friends almost every Saturday, including holidays and birthdays. She often drove the boat, pulling Jim who loved water skiing around the lake early on summer mornings when the lake was at it calmest. When not serving on a Mission, she and Jim enjoyed RVing, in which they took many trips visiting family and friends throughout the U.S. as well as to Canada and Mexico.
Chloe Ann was preceded in death by husband, James L Eaton; sons, Jeffrey A Meyers and Jeff Eaton; parents, Rex and Chloe Funk; brother, Bruce Funk and sister, Janeene Halle.
Chloe Ann is survived by son, Wayne (Tina) Meyers; grandson, Read A. (Jen) Meyers; great-grandsons, Adrian and River; grandson, Joshua Meyers; great grandson, Jaren; son, Danny Eaton and family; her sister, Beverly Funk-Stine and daughter-in-law, Denise Perry.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am on May 1, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3000 Old Cheney Rd, Lincoln, Nebraska.
